Robert Half HR Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist in Salem, Oregon
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an HR Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist in the non-profit industry, based in Salem, Oregon. In this role, you will be central to our recruitment and onboarding procedures, engaging in a range of activities from job posting to candidate sourcing, to facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
Responsibilities:
• Create, edit, and post job listings across various platforms, including job boards, websites, and community locations.
• Attend and organize job fairs to source potential candidates for open positions.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate interviews for candidates with experience in accordance with HR guidelines.
• Review and revise interview questions to ensure their appropriateness and relevance to the job.
• Assist with different stages of interviews, including pre-screening, phone/video interviews, and in-person interviews.
• Collect and organize application materials, interview notes, scoring sheets, and testing documents for filing once the position is filled and candidates have been notified.
• Assist with pre-employment screening items such as drive records, reference checking, and background checks.
• Conduct onboarding activities for new hires, including I-9 Identification checks, administration of W4s, and other first-day tasks.
• Utilize applicant tracking system software and HRIS platforms effectively.
• Uphold hiring best practices, including proper interviewing standards and etiquette.
• Communicate effectively with Program Directors and Hiring Managers, both in writing and orally. Requirements
• Proficiency in using Careerbuilder for recruitment
• Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
• Proven experience with Applicant Track Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Full Cycle Recruiting
• Demonstrated expertise in Onboarding new employees
• Experience in organizing and participating in Job Fairs
• Ability to develop effective and comprehensive Job Descriptions
• Strong Editing skills for various HR documents and materials
