WorkSource Oregon Election Board Worker - Temporary in SALEM, Oregon

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Performs a variety of general unskilled or semi-skilled duties in the election\'s office according to prescribed procedures, rules, and methods that can be readily learned on the job; efficiently uses general office machines, equipment, forms, and documents to complete tasks and assignments. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, preferably supplemented by course work in general office skills, OR 2. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County. 3. Must be a registered voter of the state of Oregon. By statute will be required to disclose party affiliation prior to hiring. We welcome applications from all political parties. Typical Work Schedule: Work is based on the needs for elections. Weekly hours may fluctuate depending on the help needed. Hours would typically be day shift Monday through Friday and employees may be required to work the Saturday before elections, with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program. Employees who work on Election Day will be expected to work until completed, which may be late into the night or early the next day.
