    About the Job

    Coordinates and schedules the loading of rail cars, trucks, and barges to assure proper loading in the safest and most efficient manner possible to satisfy customer needs.

  • Coordinates with plant personnel and Production Planning to schedule the loading and unloading of rail cars with proper loading instructions, in a timely manner to satisfy customer demands

  • Schedules bulk & bagged trucks to minimize potential detention risk

  • Bill rail cars in Union Pacific E.D.I. computer system and MLC ERP system

  • Request and approve MLC railcars for repair and maintain the historical data on the railcar repairs

  • Maintains data in RCM software (including car listings, loading locations, repair information, seals, etc.)

  • Performs audits on carrier performance involving loading and scheduling.

  • Collects inventories, shipments, and transfers for all branches and warehouses on a daily to monthly basis and compiles a production report for plant managers and Finance.

  • Work with customer service to maintain current loading instructions for trucks and railcars for customers.

  • Maintain open dialogue on a daily basis with lab personnel to ensure quality information is up to date on all railcar and truck shipping

    Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience required.

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of railcars, trucks and barges preferred. Knowledge of railcar management systems a plus.

  • Skills: Computer skills with regard to MS Suite required.

  • Abilities: Ability to coordinate multiple things at once, work independently and stay on track.

  • Behaviors: Strong communication with plant personnel, production, and planners.
