Description
Position Summary:
Person in this position will be responsible for the cleanliness, repair and the maintenance of WestCare facilities. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain the facility grounds and maintain buildings (interior & exterior) in a clean, safe and efficient operating condition;
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of supplies, donated items and a tool control system;
Assist Director to maintain, schedule and supervise clients assigned to perform duties associated with the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and grounds;
Respond to routine emergencies and make normal repairs;
Define problems and provide written bids and assessments for anything that must be repaired or replaced to Program Director or designee;
Respond to work orders on a daily basis and maintain records of completed tasks;
Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in general semi-skilled maintenance and repair work, or as a building maintenance or construction trades worker.
Experience working with individuals and groups in a confined setting is preferred.
Must possess knowledge of common methods, practices and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities.
Must be familiar with the various tools used in building maintenance and repair work and their proper employment and care.
Possession of a valid FL Class C Drivers License.
CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test; and
Must be able to qualify for WestCare vehicle insurance.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
