Job Description

This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month.

Job Summary:

This role will support our Configuration Management team on daily discoveries, probes/sensors to patterns (Modernizing CMDB- KTLO Project), Cloud Development, and Service Mapping. The role will implement, monitor and improve the enterprise Configuration Management Process as well as build, monitor and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Responsibilities:

• Manages ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping.

• Ensures that horizontal discovery and service mapping products are highly available, reliable, and performant.

• Creates and maintains custom patterns, probes, and sensors to accommodate internal discovery requirements.

• Establishes and maintains discovery schedules.

• Monitors discovery and service mapping results, reconciling and addressing any anomalies.

• Proactively plans capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintains and configures appropriately.

• Works with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure that accurate service maps are discovered and maintained.

• Participates in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation.

• Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.

• Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.

• Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.

• Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.

• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Skills:

• Development experience with JavaScript

• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and the CSDM framework.

• Discovery mapping experience preferred

• Experience with leveraging IntegrationHub to integrate with other cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

• Design, develop, and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using REST, SOAP, and other APIs.

• Data cleansing to maintain data integrityWorks without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on managing information throughout its lifecycle by designing and executing appropriate architectures, policies and practices.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on ensuring that IT applications meet required specifications by designing, executing and reporting on tests of systems and services.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing software using programming languages.

• Works with full competence to conduct activities to collect, analyze, diagram (model), and report information and data flow, including state changes, to help make strategic decisions, achieve major goals, and solve complex problems. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on monitoring, diagnosing and fixing technological problems.

Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, Bachelor’s: Computer Systems Analysis
