ServiceNow Developer/Administrator Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities ServiceNow Developer/Administrator responsible for developing, updating and debugging ServiceNow Applications for business, including helping configure, implement, and administer requirements within the of the new ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience developing, testing, and administering ServiceNow applications in an enterprise-class environment. They may also have similar experience with related technology services, and can deliver excellent results with minimal supervision. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a strong attention to detail, and possess superior maturity, professionalism and judgment. They will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies. Gathering and documenting user and process requirements, functional requirements, and developing technical requirements. Developing workflow customizations, and supporting the customer.

  • Provide expertise in backup/restore of self-hosted ServiceNow databases
  • Provide expertise on the Self Hosted ServiceNow platform and applications to complete a technical refresh of specified capabilities onto the platform
  • Conduct assessments of the current ServiceNow portfolio recommend alternative solutions that will be cost beneficial and result in the most efficient implementation
  • Sustain capabilities already deployed on the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, HR, KM, Survey, Portals, custom applications)
  • Provide full upgrade support and leverage their experience and expertise on self-hosted ServiceNow instances to automate the upgrade process where possible with the goal of making upgrades as seamless and efficient as practical
  • Provide expertise in ServiceNow platform, ITSM, ITBM, Portal, HR, Asset Management, CMDB and custom applications

Required Qualifications

  • Active or Able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA )
  • 3 years of experience of ServiceNow with the ServiceNow platform in an Developer/Administrator Capacity administering an enterprise-wide, multi-tier on-prem and self-hosted ServiceNow production environment, including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI configuration, catalog items, reports, and updates
  • Demonstrated experience deploying ServiceNow solutions that are compliant with DoD security requirements for systems that process Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) data, including PII
  • Experience developing custom applications in ServiceNow, leveraging scripted workflows, complex business rules, client-side/server-side scripting, custom UI pages, ACLs, custom widgets, and custom reporting, custom CMS/ Employee Self Service portals
  • Expert knowledge and hands on experience of ServiceNow Application
  • Comfortable deploying ServiceNow in a multi-system environment
  • Aptitude to troubleshoot L2/L3 problems as they relate to ServiceNow Application
  • Well versed with documenting process and procedures implemented into ServiceNow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional information technology experience with systems analysis and application development experience, including administration, implementation, integration, and configuration in ServiceNow
  • Experience working with REST Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
  • Experience with Direct Database Access (DDA) within ServiceNow
  • ServicieNow Developer certifications
  • Experience upgrading, enhancing, and testing ServiceNow applications
  • Experience architecting and designing ServiceNow Application
  • Create and use update sets to move customizations between system en ironments
  • Ability to come up with solutions for improving procedures and workflows
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3).
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
