- Management of AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, EC2, EKS, S3, tagging schemes, CloudFormation, etc.
- Deployment and management automation of cloud-based infrastructure and software
- Working with configuration management tools in both Windows and Linux - Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Ensuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirements
- Architecture and implementation of cloud-based monitoring, alerting and reporting - Datadog, Logz.io, InfluxDb, CloudWatch, Catchpoint, ELK, Grafana (Preferred)
- Develop tools to enable teams for greater output and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotation
How you will stand out from the crowd
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years on a platform engineering team focused on solving problems and establishing process across an organization
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with systems engineering and software development
- Experience standardizing cloud and IaC tooling across organizations
- Solid understanding/experience of containerization services such as Docker
- Working knowledge of open-source tools such as Sensu, InfluxDB, Grafana, Logstash, Elasticsearch
- Solid understanding/experience of web services, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures
- Solid understanding of backup/restore best practices
- Solid understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP protocols
- Strong level of expertise in Bash/Powershell/Python or equivalent language
- Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level SaaS environment
- Security Experience a plus
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $165,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee's performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
