Job Title: Medical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Medical Assemblers. The role primarily involves working in a cleanroom environment to assemble and inspect small medical components such as stints, catheters, and leads. Candidates will be trained in various areas of the assembly process to ensure versatility and comprehensive skill development.
Responsibilities
Work in the coiling department, operating coil winding machines to wrap coils around a spindle.
Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes 30-50% of the day.
Cross-train in different assembly areas including molding, CEA assembly, laser welding, and implantable housings.
Inspect and deburr parts using tools like pliers, filers, and skivs/knives.
Follow written work instructions to assemble medical components.
Use microscopes for detailed work and inspection in various areas.
Sit or stand for shifts of up to 8 hours, depending on the task.
Work with automated presses and stamping machines in non-cleanroom areas.
Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols including wearing appropriate attire (smock, booties, hair net, beard net if applicable, and eye glasses).
Essential Skills
4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or small part assembly.
Experience working with microscopes (4-6+ months).
Familiarity with cleanroom environments.
Experience with coil winding, catheter assembly, and laser welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude, especially for work in the housings area.
Good hand dexterity, suitable for tasks requiring precision.
Adaptability to cross-train in multiple areas.
Comfortable with both sitting and standing tasks.

Work Environment
The work environment includes cleanroom and non-cleanroom areas. Cleanroom areas require gowning up with smocks, booties, hair nets, beard nets if applicable, and eye glasses. Non-cleanroom areas require safety glasses and steel-toed shoe covers. The facility is very clean and well-maintained, with amenities such as an employee wellness room, a ping pong table, and a workout facility. Dress code is flexible, allowing for makeup, jewelry, and skirts with appropriate coverage. Candidates must be comfortable with variable tasks, including sitting or standing for extended periods.
