Job Title

Master Electrician

Pay:

• Salary Range: $72,800 - $114,400 per year

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience: 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience

• Licenses: Licensed Master Electrician; Journeyman Electrician license

Skills:

• Electrical troubleshooting

• Blueprint reading

• Industrial electrical maintenance

• Wiring and conduit installation

• Control networks, instrumentation, PLC devices (Programmable Logic Control), HMI (Human Machine Interface), VFD (Variable Frequency Drives), servo, and control troubleshooting

Description:

• Seeking a Master Electrician to perform electrical maintenance on plant utilities and processes. Install and repair electrical systems and components per codes and schematics. Work with minimal supervision, solving complex issues, and guiding apprentice-level peers.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment, and systems

• Install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed drives

• Work on electrical equipment like VFDs, contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring

• Safely handle multi-phase, high and low-voltage systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control networks, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and controls

• Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors

• Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime

• Communicate with departments, management, and employees about any issues affecting production efficiency

• Stay updated on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques

• Identify process improvement opportunities with a continuous improvement mindset

• Anticipate parts requirements, follow purchasing procedures, and acquire parts in advance

• Perform and assist in maintenance activities per national, state, and local codes

• Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) for maintenance records

• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations
