Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for M Health Fairview - Woodwinds Health located in Woodbury, MN .

This position is based at Woodwinds, and is part of a team of managers supporting (3) hospitals in the M Health Fairview System. Primary responsibilities of this position is managing the front of the house retail operations of the hospital cafeteria, as well as supporting total operations of food production and patient meal service. This position is stable and health care food service continues to grow at this facility. Restaurant professionals, looking for a better quality of life with a rotating weekend and holidays schedule, are encouraged to apply!

The successful candidate will:

  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development

  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff;

  • provide stellar customer service;

  • oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;

  • ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;

  • conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands);

  • maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands);

  • manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations;

  • ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place;

  • ability to work independently;

  • manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or

  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Duties

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations

  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards

  • Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory

  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
