Project Description: The path to Xcel Energy\'s path to 100% carbon-free electricity by 2050 includes Distributed Energy Resources (DER). Currently the primary types of DER include solar (PV) technologies. The DER Integration team provides the technical resources to allow customers to connect solar to their property. As an intern you will work with engineering staff to support the DER Integration team. The roles include the review and study of interconnection applications, ensuring accurate modeling of DER in our tools and applications, and addressing customer questions. An internship in DER Integration will provide real life knowledge of distribution planning and operation and knowledge of DER technology.
