Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota. You will be part of a dedicated team, primarily tasked with handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties, as well as assisting with basic Journal Entries and account reconciliations. This role is primarily office-based, with provision for remote work one day per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Accounts Payable tasks such as loading documents into the system, coding invoices, and routing invoices for approval

• Handle Accounts Receivable duties including invoicing clients and business to business collections

• Assist in the creation of basic Journal Entries

• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of account information

• Support the team during the system upgrade, helping to backfill positions as required

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), B2B collections, Deltek Costpoint, Journal Entries, and Account Reconciliation to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in B2B collections

• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint software

• Capability to handle Journal Entries

• Proven skills in Account Reconciliation

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
