Summary You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE, United Kingdom. Responsibilities You will adapt methods and techniques to solve electronic design and operational problems on technical electronic and electrical systems. You will perform troubleshooting (e.g., system faults, ringing, out wiring, connectors) of electronic equipment for preventative maintenance. You will analyze interior communications and network systems test procedures to determine or improve effectiveness, reliability or validity of the process. You will test and evaluate electronic equipment systems in Undersea Warfare Systems to solve design or operational problems. You will lead technical work projects to ensure operability of electronic equipment, systems or sub-systems found in Undersea Warfare Systems (e.g., Communication Systems, Electronic Warfare, Imaging Systems, or Combat Systems). You will oversee the testing of electronic systems and equipment to solve design and operational problems. You will provide technical support for using and adjusting electronic communications equipment and instruments for telecommunication connectivity. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting surveys and/or investigations to identify and resolve problems; 2) Directing the full range (i.e. planning, design, development, construction, repair, alteration, and inspection) of Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) or similar systems operations and communications systems; 3) Providing technical support to personnel utilizing the IUSS or similar systems; 4) Monitoring and/or inspecting on-site operations, equipment failures, and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to regulations.
