*Functional Scope: * As the owner of GMT+P+V payroll for the US, you will be responsible for timely payroll processing for onsite and offsite employees, deductions, taxes, and documentation. You will also manage 401K and legacy pension obligations. Further, you will establish process improvements, document monthly processes, and support ad-hoc financial analysis requests.

 

Position Specifications: 2-year degree in a related finance field with at least 5-8 years' experience in payroll processing of at least 200 employees required. BS Degree in accounting, business or related field is preferred but not in lieu of experience. Attention to detail and works well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy while experiencing frequent interruptions. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle / Ceridian) and Microsoft office suite. Strong diplomacy, analytical aptitude, and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of payroll and accounting principles, payroll methods, Department of Labor regulations, and federal and state tax regulations is required.

 

*Essential Functions: *

  • Owner of all payroll responsibilities ensuring timely/accurate processing of payroll for 3 pay groups (Hourly, Hourly Union, and Salary)
  • Ensure payroll is compliant with all Federal, State, and Local Laws and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Address and resolve employee's payroll related inquiries.
  • Ceridian Dayforce system expertise to process payrolls, run reports, and distribute checks as well as to review/edit/approve timecards, run/distribute hours reports, and spot check timecard punches.
  • Support months end financial reporting & activities: Maintain Finance department cash management template, perform headcount reconciliations, capital project hours reporting, and labor metric analyses.
  • Lead the local Fidelity 401K partnership; develop, process, implement, reconcile, and maintain weekly Fidelity 401K wire transactions; support annual 401k audits & assessments; maintain changes & updates to employee Fidelity account profiles.
  • Provide general administration of the legacy company pension obligations; support annual pension audit and initiate pension payments for current/termed vested employees that are retiring.
  • Process all payroll services rebilling and upload journal entries as required.
  • Coordinates with Human Resources to assist employees while off on leave, record & process employee insurance payments.
  • Ensure union dues & United Way wire transmissions occur timely and accurately.
  • Illustrates the ability to process highly detailed standard and ad-hoc reports as well as develop various reconciliations.
  • Cultivates and maintains working relationships with all levels of the organization with high degree of confidentiality.
