[ARCO/ Murray National Construction Company, LLC seeks Structural Engineer in St. Louis, MO:
Job Duties: Design, model, detail, and coordinate the structural elements of buildings. This includes potentially auditing designs performed by 3rd party structural engineers for efficiency and constructability; Research and implement the building code design and detailing requirements for structural steel, light gauge framing, reinforcing steel, cast in place concrete, and masonry; Coordinate design work performed by other trades, review shop drawings, and provide construction engineering as required.
[Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation(s).
[Special Skill Requirements: (1) 4 years of experience in design of structural steel framing for Code specified vertical loads: Dead, Roof Live, Snow, Wind; and design of concrete shallow foundations for column reactions and allowable soil bearing capacity; (2) 2 years of experience in design and detailing of steel vertical braces and associated connections for Code specified Wind and Seismic loads; and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit drafting; (3) 1 year of experience in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; and knowledge of design of metal deck roof diaphragms for Code specified lateral Wind and Seismic loads; and (4) EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification required.
