Wealth Management Advice and Solutions (WMAS) is responsible for leading the firm in ensuring our clients are on track to meet their financial goals. Products is an area within WMAS focused on enabling personalized client outcomes by leading the strategy and evolution of the firm's wealth management offering. We lead and coordinate product strategy and ongoing product management. We also provide clients with a broad supply of quality products and services, aligned with the firm's advice and guidance, to meet our clients' personalized needs.

The Senior Alternative Investment Product Manager is an experienced product associate who is responsible for significant aspect(s) of the Alternative Investment product line and ecosystem. This includes setting strategy for the product shelf, new product co-creation opportunities and implementation, product analytics and modeling and/or product partner and key vendor/platform relationship management. This role also partners across the organization in the development and delivery of product training, the advocacy for, interpretation and compliance of legislative and regulatory changes, advice and guidance that impacts product implementation, risk assessment and mitigation, and/or the branch and client experience. Initially, this role will support the firm's HNW APPS capabilities to deliver Alternative Investments. Over time, this role will evolve to support the firm's broader business segments.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Product Leader and/or General Partner to develop and execute the firm's Alternative Investment product strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products and the support needed to help client achieve their financial goals.

  • Design, develop and manage innovative Alternative Investment products that align with firm advice and guidance in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Determine the data, insights and analysis needed to inform product strategy and development. This role will have a specific focus on the Evergreen/Registered Alternative Investment product ecosystem(i.e., Interval Funds).

  • Responsible for Alternative Investment product partner/vendor relationships of significant size, complexity, number and impact to:

  • Manage and maintain their portfolio of products including making recommendations to add/remove/change products or product partners as needed.

  • Shape and drive execution of business plans that align with the strategic direction of the firm.

  • Ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is effective (quantity and quality), aligned with key firm messages and is compliant. Assist in the design of efficient and effective ongoing processes and controls.

  • Influence the design and development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience

  • Resolve complex/broad product partner issues as escalated. Determine root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurrences.

  • Regularly interface with product partner peer and vendor contacts (e.g., key account managers, product managers, national sales directors, and operational leaders.)

  • Assist in the coordination and alignment of the product partner relationship management activities described above across all Alternative Investment product partners.

  • Understand and interpret rules and potential rule changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line; make recommendations that help shape the firm's position with respect to tax, legal and regulatory issues for these products/programs.

  • Lead broad division, firm or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy (e.g., cross-divisional projects, internal committees, product partner events, regional events, industry groups, etc.)

  • Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and effectiveness of the product line while minimizing risk to clients and the firm.

  • Mentor team members and assist in the ongoing development of their subject matter expertise.

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Experience of 8+ years with Packaged Products, Investments, and/or Alternative Investments.

  • Deep subject matter expertise in Alternative Investment products. Key focus in the Evergreen/Registered Product space(i.e., Interval Funds, Tender Offer Funds, BDCs) and working with Alternative Investment Platforms(i.e., CAIS).

  • Series 7/66 required or acquired within 12 months

  • Exceptional technical aptitude and analytical skills.

  • Highly collaborative and effective written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office, Tableau and databases.

What Could Set you Apart:

  • Experience of 10+ years with Packaged Products, Investments, and/or Alternative Investments

  • CFA, CAIA, CIMA, CFP, ChFC, CPA, etc.

  • MBA

*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
