Job Highlights:

Manager-Business/Clinical Operations, SLUCare Outpatient Department of Surgery, Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Radiation Oncology

Primary Location: SLUCare Academic Pavilion (1008 South Spring Avenue). Managerial role also oversees up to 4 other locations including SLUCare surgery/specialty locations at SLU Hospital Campus, Cardinal Glennon, Center for Radiation Medicine (Vista Ave.), and Drummond Hall.

Primary Duties & Additional Info: Critical Clinic Manager role to support the Department of Surgery, the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Radiation Oncology at Various SLUCare Outpatient/Clinic locations. The duties include HR and operational functions and act as support for the current Director and Chairman, as well as people leadership and hiring/offer decisions.

Job Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the department.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that all services and activities are carried out.

• Serves as liaison to achieve departmental goals.

• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.

• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.

• Performs ongoing assessment, review and update of departmental procedures, processes and workflow to produce high-quality, cost effective delivery of products and services.

• Implements improvement plans with the Director's approval.

• Provides project management for initiatives within the organization.

• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and education

EXPERIENCE

• Five years' experience, with two years' in leadership

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

• Rare climbing.
