Insight Global Hybrid Onsite/Remote - Cash Applications Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description

Our client, a premier data center service provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and DR, is looking for a motivated Cash Apps Specialist to join their billing team. This person will be responsible for all efforts around Cash flow tracking from point of entry to posting including accurate client association, researching to know where it flows next, report generation and final post. They will post all cash entries including: ACH, Wires, Lockbox, Credit Cards, Misc. items, Direct Debits. They will spend roughly 50% of their time on client engagement/customer service for accounts in relation to cash flow intake which includes field questions via phone, email or ticket, working on request for credit cards or requests for ePayment updates as well as additional issues as needed. This person will also prepare daily and weekly cash trending reports as well as performing cash month-end close processes. Additional tasks may include but are not limited to: sorting and actioning Cash Apps and Credit Risk emails and NetSuite cases, assessing credit risk for new and existing customers and working with other departments to set up appropriate terms based on risk rating, analyze customer financial statements for credit risk and lastly facilitating credit applications and preparing credit recommendation documents.

Skills and Requirements

Experience working as a Cash Apps Specialist or experience within a sister role to it (AR/AP) and knowledge of the Cash flow space with a desire to move into a role within it

Growth mindset that drives a desire to learn new skills and various ways to execute tasks within their role in the finance industry

Experience with Excel creating reports (Not data entry) -- comfortable creating functional reports from data pulls utilizing but not limited to formulas such as vlookups, xlookups and create pivot tables

Strong customer service and ability to work with end users to resolve issues directly or through proper escalation

Ability to work with the team to meet daily deadline cut off for cash postings (Example: Noon daily cutoff to expert AR post)

Ability to flow with priority changes if urgency drives a change request from the team

Ability to learn platforms from training (Current environment consists of the following: Great Plains (ERP), NetSuite (CRM), High Radius (Collections) and 5/3rd bank (CashApps) null
