HARTWIG Experienced CNC Machinist/ Programmer in Saint Louis, Missouri
The Job
A CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by working hand-in-hand with our Sales team to provide support and be a technical resource to ensure customer satisfaction. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the Hartwig team to provide the best manufacturing solutions and support to the machine tool industry. This position is based in St Louis, Missouri or the surrounding area.
Main responsibilities of this full-time position include:
- Evaluating manufacturing processes and recommending industry-leading solutions
- Developing and testing alternative processing methods
- Performing time studies for process improvement recommendations
- Overseeing machine installations
- Conducting research and assisting in presenting proposals to customers
- Performing on-site programming and machine operation training for customers
- Facilitating customer demonstrations by setting up and programming machine tools
The Skills
Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:
- Two- or four-year degree in manufacturing engineering
- Experience in machining process development, project management and CNC programming
- Okuma machine programming experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options and functions
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, listening, respect and work ethic, which lead to lasting and trusting relationships with team members and customers
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales team to provide customer solutions
