The Ultrasound team takes pride in the staff we have and the care we provide at SLU Hospital. Our sonographers work alongside our Residents and Attendings, specifically our world renown liver and kidney transplant team who relies on our technical skills post operatively. Call requirement: Echo – 5 days a month

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies in the echocardiography lab.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Performs two dimensional, three-dimensional, m-mode, color flow, Doppler flow, ejection fraction, dobutamine and stress echocardiograms according to the Echo Lab policy and procedures manual and standards set forth by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.

Records all imaging studies (digital archive) for the Medical Director or his/her designee to review and interpret.

Supports all functions, goals and objectives of the department as well as development of any new programs.

A) Participate in development of new diagnostic testing procedures to be performed in the department.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education :

Echocardiography Graduate of a program in Echocardiography/Cardiac Imaging

Minimum Experience: 1 years experience preferred but new grads welcome!

Required Course: (licensure/certification)

Echocardiography Department: BLS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS
