Position Summary

The Director, EMRA (Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Automation) supports the global supply chain organization through the leading the central systems team of engineering, maintenance and automation leaders who are responsible for scaling systems and practices setting standards and maintaining playbooks for enabling productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost reduction while promoting a safe working environment demonstrating the highest standards of behavior and building the desired quality level into processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and monitoring supply chain KPI’s related to EMRA

  • Ensures compliance to internal standards, external regulatory standards & adoption by local sites

  • Develops strategies to improve asset reliability and plant performance

  • Responsible for the following functional activities:

  • Engineering: Design standards, validation, capital funds process, electrical and controls engineering

  • Maintenance: Predictive, preventative, reactive

  • Reliability: Process control mapping, autonomous care, mistake proofing

  • Automation: High speed automation, robot assist

  • Leverages digital solutions to create improvement capabilities with colleagues at local sites

Engineering

  • Leads and facilitates global supply chain CAPEX budget and process SME

  • Chair project review boards to validate architecture for engineering, automation or maintenance projects

  • Ensure engineering standards are utilized to develop and procure new equipment or modifications

Maintenance

  • Owns CMMS system design and improvements

  • Facilitates industry known best maintenance practices and local site plans for improvement

  • Supports colleague skill development at all levels to improve capabilities and results

Reliability

  • Establish best practices for analysis of severity and prioritization of equipment issues to minimize plant down time as well as increase plant productivity

  • Create impactful KPI’s to utilize data to drive improvement in productivity

Automation

  • Develop an Automation strategy and roadmap to support global supply chain priorities

  • Expose global teams to industry innovation and opportunities through automation

  • Support (and/or lead) automation projects

What we are looking for

  • This position will be located near one of the following Energizer locations: Dayton, OH, Cleveland, OH, or Asheboro, NC

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years experience applying solutions and demonstrating progressive success with Reliability and/or Automation

  • Core knowledge of world class maintenance, equipment reliability, manufacturing automation

  • Experience working with vendors on engineering projects

  • Established record of people management skills

  • Experience leading continuous improvement programs

  • Core technical acumen in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering

What we prefer

  • Master's degree with 15+ years of directly related experience applying solutions and demonstrating progressive success with Reliability and/or Automation

  • Experience working with high-speed automated equipment and consumer goods manufacturing processes
