Litigation Associate Attorney Opportunity

St. Louis, Missouri

Our Law Firm is a premier personal injury law firm providing collaborative and

personalized representation to accident victims across Missouri and in southern Illinois.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an ABA accredited institution and admission to Missouri bar

• The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of legal experience in some or all of

the following areas:

o Developing legal strategies for litigation

o Negotiating and resolving legal matters

o Presenting arguments in the courtroom setting

o Drafting pleadings, briefs, and motions

o Taking depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and/or expert witnesses

o Conducting research on legal issues

o Propounding and responding to discovery

o Managing a litigation caseload

• Excellent analytical and writing skills, including consistent use of proper citations,

punctuation, and grammar

• Must be able to effectively communicate with others, whether with clients, colleagues, or

the court

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong ability to remain organized, adhere to strict deadlines, manage a varied caseload,

and follow directions

• Strong legal research skills across various platforms

• Ability to both work independently and with Our Firm Law Firm team on behalf of

clients

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings and motions

• Attending hearings and presenting arguments

• Legal research

• Legal strategy and case development

• Claims strategy and negotiation

• Client interaction

• Conducting depositions (party, lay witness, and expert)

• Trial preparation and practice

• Assisting in the management of all firm cases as necessary

• Unforeseen tasks that arise within the normal scope of business and legal setting

• Collaborate with staff

• This position does not manage others

Work Location: In person, Clayton office

Travel Requirements: This position will occasionally require travel for case-related matters to

jurisdictions outside of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.
