Actalent Architectural Surveyor in Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Title: Architectural SurveyorJob Description

The Architectural Surveyor will travel to various sites across the country to perform surveying responsibilities using digital cameras for retail and commercial sites. You will conduct condition assessments on buildings for clients and draft findings into AutoCAD. Typically, you will complete 2 to 3 surveys per week, with each site visit taking 3-4 hours or longer for bigger sites. Responsibilities include collecting utility locations, MEP information, make/model of equipment, electrical panel and service locations, architectural information, and ceiling dimensions. Surveys often require accessing the roof and working on ladders to survey fixtures. Training for survey duties will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform condition assessments on buildings using digital cameras.

  • Draft findings into AutoCAD.

  • Complete 2 to 3 surveys per week.

  • Collect utility locations, including MEP information, equipment details, electrical panel and service locations, architectural information, and ceiling dimensions.

  • Access roofs and work on ladders to survey fixtures.

Essential Skills

  • Associates or Bachelors in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.

  • Knowledge of architecture process and construction documents.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Good CAD skills to draft completed surveys.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience performing architectural or engineering surveys for buildings.

Work Environment

Travel to sites 80% of the time and work from home drafting and report writing 20% of the time. Typically work 50-55 hours per week, including 10-15 hours of paid travel time. Someone at the company will handle flight booking. Expenses for food, gas, Ubers, etc., will be covered by the company credit card. Flight, rental car, and lodging are paid for by the company. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00
