Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Wholesale Distribution industry in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role involves reviewing and processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will have some administrative and financial background to effectively manage the day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring header level data is correctly retrieved by the system and making necessary corrections.

• Match invoices to purchase orders accurately and efficiently.

• Review invoices flagged as duplicates and process them accordingly.

• Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the accounts payable function.

• Utilize skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Data Entry, Data Entry - Numeric, Perform Data Entry, Microsoft Excel to ensure efficient execution of tasks.

• Ensure compliance with established internal controls and procedures related to Accounts Payable.

• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements.

• Keep records of all transactions and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare accounts payable reports and participate in financial audits.

• Ensure all financial deadlines regarding accounts payable are met. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Skilled in data entry, including numeric data entry

• Experience performing data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts

• Ability to work in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness with sensitive financial information.
