The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR) is excited to invite you to join our team as a *Choose to Work (CTW) Employment Specialist *in St. George,UT. In this role,your mission is to create lasting connections between clients and employers,forging the ideal employment match.
Principle Duties
The CTW Employment Specialist will perform the following tasks:
- Leads job coaching sessions,helping clients prepare for employment.
- Creates customized job placement plans based on individual client needs.
- Teaches essential job-hunting skills: resume crafting,application guidance,and interview techniques.
- Builds and maintains relationships with employers.
- Assists with securing interviews tailored to clients' job goals.
- Collects and records client progress and employer feedback.
- Partners with local groups,agencies,and businesses for enhanced client services.
- Arranges and supports employment-related events like job fairs,employer workshops,business tours and mentoring events.
- Traveling within your service area for essential appointments with business partners,clients and community partners.
Preferred Applicant for this position has:
- Strong communication skills.
- A high degree of self-direction and the ability to work well independently.
- Experience assisting individuals find employment.
- Experience and interest in helping others overcome barriers.
