Job Title: Machine Operator / Entry Level CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced machine operator or entry-level CNC machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a horizontal machine to machine large pieces of steel to precise specifications. A CNC operator produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Program prove outs, maintaining equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed part records are some of the core responsibilities of a CNC operator.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal machine to machine large pieces of steel

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements

• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper operation and quality of finished products

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed

• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance as needed

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating machines

• Understanding of CNC programming and machine operation

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

• Knowledge of machining techniques and tools

• Strong attention to detail and precision

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required

• 5 years’ experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator with Fanuc Control

• Ability to translate/understand mechanical documents and engineering drawings

• Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude

• Experience with milling machine operations and tooling, such as 42" work envelope or larger

• Experience with mill tooling and part probes

• Good computer and mathematical skills

• Analytical skills to read and understand part drawings, blueprints, models, and other technical specifications

• Math and software skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00

Profit sharing quarterly

Two weeks vacation accrues first year

After 3 years- 3 weeks vaca

After 7 years- 5 weeks vaca

Monthly bonuses based on production metrics
