The Supply Chain Risk Management team is responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation based on several risk indicators provided by cross-functional teams, such as: Finance, Quality, PC&L, among others.

We’re looking for a talented Supply Chain Risk Manager with strong operations / supplier quality / purchasing skills to join the SCRM team. This person will own a risk monitoring database and provide insights and action plans on top risk suppliers to US Division. They will also work on-site with those suppliers for corrective and preventive actions.

Primary responsibilities of this role are:

• Own supplier risk databases for US operations teams. Develop and share insights for Global Supply Management and Operations teams in Saginaw.

• Conduct supply risk assessments for suppliers across holistic risk indicators including strategic, financial, geopolitical, capacity, supply and logistics, cybersecurity, and compliance etc.

• Assess supplier risk and the impact of emerging regulatory requirements, identify strategies/recommendations, and integrate solutions back into appropriate business processes.

• Support developing and executing risk mitigation plans for short term, annual and long-term growth projections in collaboration with purchasing managers.

• Develop risk alerts based on severity of risks and act with sense of urgency to mitigate risks.

• Support commodity and plant teams in development of continuity plans for high-risk suppliers.

• Support in development of overall risk management strategy for procurement and embed those into base business practices.

• Develop visibility of risks to tier 2/3 for key material categories and incorporate findings in sourcing strategies.

• Work collaboratively to develop predictive risk management practices and deploy for procurement scope.

• Collaborate with GSM managers to embed risk management solutions into sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management and contracting activities.

• Support business planning process to incorporate risk management projects and required resourcing, including adoption of digital tools.

  QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

• 8+ years of strong experience in procurement or related supply chains with exposure to risk management scope.

• Familiarity with material categories, including electronics, machining, molding, assembling, tooling, and manufacturing processes, is advantageous.

• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with complex data / information set.

• Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information.

• Experience to work across regions and understand markets.

• Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing/six sigma problem solving experience or certifications.

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
