Robert Half Bookkeeper in Saginaw, Michigan

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Saginaw, Michigan. This role is within the industry and involves managing bank data related responsibilities, supporting our plant controllers, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily bank statement reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and investigate any discrepancies.

• Prepare and present detailed reports on bank data to the plant controllers, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

• Oversee bank roll forward and bank roll at month end, ensuring all data is up to date and perform a full reconciliation to prepare for the next month.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and resolve customer inquiries.

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, and Month End Close to ensure smooth operation and accurate financial records.

• Perform monthly reconciliations, recording bank data daily, and reconciling it at the end of the month to ensure all entries are accurate and correct.

• Post and reconcile bank data daily, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles

• Excellent Data Entry skills

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proficient in using accounting software

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial.
