BayCare Health System Cardiac Sonographer - PRN - $41/hr in Safety Harbor, Florida

Summary: Echocardiography Tech Department Pool (not a float position - PRN) - $41/hr flat rate

Serves as a member of the Cardiology Team, engaged in the conduct and performance of Cardiac Ultrasound / Doppler diagnostic testing. This team member is required to assist the physician and other related healthcare professionals in these technical areas and is responsible for all aspects of clinical support. Functions independently with minimal supervision. Required education: Technical specialize in cardiovascular technology/ sonography/ ultrasound field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required - Technical Diploma/Associate's/Bachelor's in Ultrasound/Sonography/Echocardiography

Credentials:

  • Required - BLS (Basic Life Support); Required - RDCS or RCS (Sonography) - within 1 year of hire

Experience: 18 months of post-graduate Echocardiography experience preferred, but not required

Minimum Pool Requirements:

  • 4 shifts a month

  • 2 weekend shifts a month (included in the minimum 4 shifts)

  • 1 on-call day a month

  • Ability to work at least 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
