Overview
Mercy Medical Group (MMG) , a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a Physician Assistant to its busy Surgical Oncology division. Our clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation’s Mercy Medical Group locations throughout Sacramento.
Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is a dynamic, growing organization with a long-standing history of providing exceptional medical care in the Sacramento area. MMG is a large multi-specialty medical group of 500+ providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These professionals provide seamless primary and specialty care, working together to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.
MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Mercy Medical Group is aligned with Dignity Health, operating on a medical foundation model. Dignity Health is one of the largest healthcare systems in the nation, and the largest healthcare system in California, with more than 40 hospitals and 400 care centers serving communities across California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Compensation Range: $135,000 - $180,000 / Year

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to established patients, assisting in the operating room, inpatient hospital rounding, patient education, post-procedure follow-ups and surveillance, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues. This opportunity is full-time with no call requirement.
Qualifications
Training from an accredited PA program
Excellent communication skills
Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA)
DEA, Furnishing Licence, PAB required Substance Abuse Course
ACLS, BLS
Previous experience in surgical oncology or a closely related field is highly preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies
Pay Range
$65.00 - $87.00 /hour
