This role is for a Software Development Manager in the Oracle Argus Safety product development team based out of Noida, India. Looking for a manager that can support a existing product team and also bring in and bring up to speed a new team for working on the next generation platform of the product.

Must be able to work in a high and quick evolving environments being able to change the direction of the team quickly to align with the strategy. Should be able to build the team and ensure that teams are trained in multiple areas.

Ensure that product releases are delivered with quality working with the SQA, Product management and Documentation teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of full stack and full cycle engineers in the design, development, test, deployment and operation.

  • Support a team and managers that are cross shores

  • Own and Manage the features/enhancements and sustenance tasks of a module/product within the Argus suite of products by collaborating closely with various stakeholders (Architecture, Product Management, Release Management, Customer Support, Other Development Managers etc)

  • Manage all aspects of development – Requirements review, planning, Quality, Performance, Security

  • Develop career plan/path for the team members and mentor/assist in achieving the same

  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on help to the team as needed

  • Practice and implement continuous feedback and continuous improvement philosophy with key focus on team member motivation, work satisfaction, efficiency and overall productivity

  • Deliver scalable/performant software component/product with robust quality within aggressive timelines

  • Participate in feature, architecture, design and code reviews

  • Managerial ownership of Development, Quality, Performance and the necessary automation tasks within a specified area

  • Work within aggressive and short release cycles

  • Manage (self and team) through ambiguity

Experience and Skills:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate of Engineering or Computer Applications

  • 5 - 7 years of product development experience – UI and Backend

  • Minimum 2 years of front-line management experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Java, API / REST, Microservices and UI development frameworks – J2EE, Spring (MVC), Spring Boot, JSON, Apache CFX, TypeScript, Angular, React, Oracle OJET

  • Working knowledge of any enterprise application server – WebLogic, WebSphere etc

  • Working knowledge of any RDBMS – Oracle

  • Experience in automating routine tasks

  • Keen eye for details and quality

  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience in managing agile scrum teams

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range: From $105,217 to $200,534 per annum Eligible for bonus and equity
