Amazon Senior Solutions Architect, AWS, WWPS SA - EDU & SLG West in Sacramento, California

Description

Would you like to help government customers achieve their mission using innovative cloud computing solutions? Do you have a knack for helping people understand system architecture and guiding them toward successful implementations?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Solutions Architect (SA) to work with our California State and Local Government customers. As an SA, you'll provide trusted technical guidance to customers in the context of their mission, directing them toward the best technical outcomes. You will collaborate with other Amazonians to achieve revenue and business goals. You will develop technical content such as workshops, samples, and blog posts. You will contribute back to Amazon by collecting customer feedback, mentoring other SAs, and helping scale the business.

This position must be located in Sacramento, CA. This position may require travel up to 30%.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
