Description We are seeking an Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our team based in Sacramento, California. This role involves the crucial task of verifying insurance coverage and benefits for patients, and it is an integral part of our operations. We offer a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret insurance contracts to ascertain the allowed amount for scheduled procedures

• Calculate patient’s estimated financial responsibility based on benefits and scheduled procedure(s)

• Understand and apply knowledge of insurance concepts such as copay, coinsurance, deductible, and out-of-pocket maximum

• Read and interpret insurance benefits accurately

• Maintain a strong understanding of different insurance products such as HMO, PPO and Medicare Advantage plans

• Communicate with patients about their estimated balances and explain benefits in a clear and concise manner

• Handle a fast-paced, high volume work environment effectively

• Perform under pressure while maintaining high levels of productivity

• Achieve and exceed set goals regularly

• Work collaboratively within a team environment

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role

• Proficiency in Cash Posting

• Detailed knowledge of insurance verification processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in using computer systems and software

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree may be preferred.
