The anticipated salary range for this role is between $70,000.00 and $83,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Summary

Assist and begin to lead in the administration of Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) work across a broad spectrum of projects & programs within areas such as Audit & Regulatory Management, Risk & Control Management and Security Assessments. The main responsibility of the GRC Information Security Analyst is providing assistance and support to the GRC Team. They will be given opportunities to participate in projects related to information security governance, risk and compliance program and to play a key role in the effort to streamline work efforts and mature the SMBC MANUBANK Information Security GRC program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Have working knowledge of information security, risks and best practices. Ideally in a banking environment

  • Will work with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to gather requirements, evidence and procedural documentation in order to complete assessment and regulatory exams.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in starting and completing the tasks initiated and assigned.

  • Highly organized and adopts a methodical approach to understanding the content of and managing data and documentation.

  • Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects and goals.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in some type of Cyber Security environment

  • A general understanding of information security risk management frameworks (ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, NIST 800-53, 800-30 and 800-39)

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
