Position Overview:

As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently operating equipment involved in the installation and maintenance of Rail Vehicles.

What your day will look like:

• Operate and manage heavy machinery and equipment safely, including loading/unloading long assemblies, crates, and bundles.

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and instructions; complete required documentation.

• Use hand and power tools safely, with certifications for cranes, forklifts, etc.

• Provide training and direction on loading/unloading methods, ensuring safety and proper use of PPE.

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; report malfunctions promptly.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment; report material shortages and assist in loading/unloading as needed.

What we are looking for:

• High school education, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1-2 years mechanical assembly, forklift operation and/or similar machine equipment operation experience.

• Proven ability to use SAP and proficient with Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft programs

• Previous experience operating heavy machinery and equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation setting.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
