Summary:

The Controller oversees all financial functions, including budget management and grant proposals, while collaborating closely with the executive team. Reporting to the CEO, they play a vital role in shaping the organization's vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting and financial operations efficiently.

• Ensure optimal cash flow and oversee banking activities.

• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and statements.

• Assist in budget preparations and revisions.

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance.

• Supervise billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

• Oversee regulatory reporting and tax compliance.

• Coordinate with auditors for smooth annual audits.

• Minimize financial risk through analysis and management.

• Manage liability insurance and risk assessment.

• Recruit, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.

• Oversee payroll and HR functions.

• Review and optimize employee benefit programs.

• Maintain facilities and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA certification

• Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and financial software.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

  Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

• CPA

• Grants experience
