Job Description
As a Commercial Maintenance Technician, you will carry out preventive maintenance and repairs according to work order specifications. You will independently perform tasks in adherence to company protocols, regulatory guidelines, and safety standards. Your responsibilities include conducting minor plumbing repairs, performing routine painting and carpentry tasks, and conducting minor electrical repairs within state law limits. You will also conduct service and asset inspections as required, effectively use technology for work order management, and ensure customer satisfaction by fostering a positive environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets and drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
Perform routine painting and carpentry tasks, including repairing drywall holes and ensuring a uniform appearance.
Conduct minor electrical repairs within the limits allowed by state law, including repairing or replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets.
Perform service and asset inspections as required.
Utilize technology to access and complete work orders, document services, and submit necessary reports.
Acquire necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
Maintain timely and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams.
Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings.
Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed for onsite customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience working in commercial spaces such as offices, retail stores, and warehouses.
High school diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), or specialty floor care.
Ideally five years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
Proficiency in using handheld devices and business systems, including Microsoft Office and document management software.
Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems.

Work Environment
This is a mobile position where you will start and end your work from home. A vehicle, tools, and gas card will be provided. You must be willing to travel within a 30-mile radius from Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
