Robert Half Accounting Manager in Sacramento, California

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the manufacturing industry, offering a flexible, hybrid work schedule. The position is based in the Greater Sacramento area, and will involve managing our accounting group and supporting our financial reporting process as well as audit preparation. The role will require a strong financial and technical accounting background, and the ability to communicate effectively, pay attention to details, and manage multiple tasks while working with various teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly and quarterly consolidations of financial statements.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.

• Review journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with SOX Controls.

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory financial reporting for the parent and various subsidiaries.

• Provide audit and tax compliance support.

• Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

• Maintain and improve internal controls.

• Assist with certain technical accounting matters, including carrying out research and documentation for various complex and non-standard transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings, new product initiatives, adoption of new standards, and general corporate accounting matters.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Ability to conduct and manage Audit

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the accounting department of a manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
