Job Title: Aircraft Avionics Technician

Job Description

The Avionics Technician is responsible for performing the installations, inspections, and testing of avionics systems in corporate aircraft. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in avionics systems and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, and testing of avionics systems in corporate aircraft.

• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems and components.

• Repair, remove, and replace aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.

• Work with communication systems, GPS, and instrumentation panels.

• Interpret and work from diagrams and schematics.

• Function as a Quality Inspector (QI) for components and aircraft systems.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience performing avionics work.

• 2+ years of experience with installations of avionics systems.

• Proficiency in working with diagrams and schematics.

• Experience with communication systems, GPS, and instrumentation panels.

• Ability to inspect, test, and perform basic troubleshooting of avionics systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with the removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, testing, removing, and replacing complex avionics and instrument wiring and systems.

• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, technical documents, and technical reference materials.

• Flexible schedule to meet job requirements (first shift job).

• Experience with corporate jets is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

First shift, 7-4. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and has a casual dress code. The company specializes in performing maintenance, repair, overhaul, completion, and installation support for various organizations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rye Brook, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
