We're looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Rydalmere Service Centre in Australia. If you’re ready to take your career to the next level, keep reading!
What You'll Be Doing
As a Mechanical Fitter, your daily responsibilities will include:
Mechanical repair of LV, MV, and HV electrical rotating machinery.
Working on high-speed rotating equipment, especially steam and gas turbines.
Replacing or repairing worn or defective mechanical assemblies like shafts, gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearing fits.
Balancing mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
Conducting mechanical repairs on shafts, journals, and housings.
Correctly requisitioning items from stores/purchasing, as approved by your Supervisor.
Cleaning electromechanical equipment assemblies using various methods (parts washers, steamers, caustic tanks, grit blasters, etc.)
What You'll Bring to Sulzer
To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
Trade Certificate III Fitter & Turner or similar.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting large equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, fans, gearboxes, and turbines.
A forklift license.
A customer service focus with adaptability.
Strong time management skills.
