Ruthven-Ayrshire CSD Para Educator in Ruthven, Iowa

Ruthven-Ayrshire School District is seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Para educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support classroom instruction, assist with student needs, and collaborate closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience for our students. Responsibilites:

  • Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and supporting classroom management.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
  • Facilitate small group instruction and activities as directed by the teacher.
  • Help in preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom resources.
  • Monitor and support students' progress and behavior, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to address educational and behavioral needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the classroom and school.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to supporting student success.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Ruthven-Ayrshire is a small, rural school in a supportive community near the Iowa Great Lakes in NW Iowa. Lost Island Lake is located immediately North of Ruthven, and the surrounding wetlands and prairie provide excellent recreational opportunities.
