Robert Half CFO - Chief Financial Officer in Rural Retreat, Virginia

Description We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Rural Retreat, Virginia. As a CFO, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budget processes, and overseeing cash flow forecasts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the financial health of the organization

• Oversee cash flow planning, keeping track of cash flow movements and ensuring the company's financial commitments are met

• Manage the budgeting process, including the preparation, monitoring, and review of the company's budget

• Conduct regular audits to ensure the company is compliant with financial regulations and standards

• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported

• Drive process improvements in financial processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

• Oversee the use of accounting software systems for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial information

• Manage cash flow analysis and prepare cash flow forecasts to aid in financial planning

• Oversee the accounting management function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports

• Utilize Peachtree Accounting Software to streamline accounting processes and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in a CFO or similar leadership role within the finance department.

• Proficient in the use of Peachtree Accounting Software.

• Comprehensive understanding of cash flow analysis and cash flow forecasts.

• Well-versed in budget processes and planning.

• Demonstrated ability to lead month-end close activities.

• Strong auditing skills and knowledge of best practices.

• Excellent skills in accounting management.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements in a financial context.

• Strong strategic planning and business development skills.

• Exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Must have a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA would be considered an asset.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.

• A high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
