Job Title: Deputy Lab Manager

We are searching for a deputy lab manager to support to the lab alongside performing routine analysis.

The role will be part of a small team within a fast paced, dynamic laboratory performing ELISA and PCR analysis on food and food ingredients.

Your key responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established protocols and safety standards.• Perform the workload to meet the Quality standards of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001• Perform analysis by ELISA and PCR to the requirement of the customer• Take lead in continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, enhancing standard work methodologies, and conducting root cause analysis to drive process enhancements.

  • Take responsibility of the Analytical service lab in the absence of the Lab manager• Answer customer requests by email and phone.

You bring

  • A degree in a science-related field from a college or university.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting, ideally using ELISA or PCR techniques.

  • Understanding of safety, quality and lab requirements to the ISO 17025 requirements.

  • Proven experience in conducting internal and external audits.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Flexibility and a willingness to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
