Harley Ellis Devereaux HED Structural Intern in Royal Oak, Michigan
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provide junior level support during the development of the design and technical systems for projects from schematics through construction administration.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Perform structural design and/or engineering duties as directed by the project team leader.
Support the discipline team leader in the documentation process.
Perform manual and automated drafting.
Prepare drawing layout and format.
Develop project details.
Interface with other project team members on drafting coordination assignments.
Perform other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or attainment of the same within one year of hire.
LEED Accredited preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy required, CADD experience considered a plus.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project and construction meetings.
Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation and evaluation purposes.
Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
