About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has two openings for a Technical Intern 3 position. The selected candidate(s) will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The selected candidates will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Resolve technical problems in a call center/help desk environment
Work with internal and external users and organizations to support customer user-level requirements, including resolving end-user support requests, and researching and deploying advanced technologies
Resolve access requests for user accounts and other support functions
Where possible, use automated tools and scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy
Provide technical assistance, training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of applications
Perform other duties as assigned

Clearance Requirement
The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.
Certification Requirement
If not already DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant, the applicant must receive CompTIA Security or other DoD IAT Level II certification within 6 months of employment.
Citizenship Requirement
Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and experience requirements for this position are as follows:
High School Diploma
Current college Junior or Senior student pursuing an accredited degree program in software engineering, information technology, or similar related technical field
Required Skills and Education
Successful candidates will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related area of study.
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
Experience with effective oral and written communication
Demonstrated ability to exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
Familiarity with ticketing systems used to communicate with customers
Demonstrated decision-making skills using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Customer service skills with ability to research issues and identify solutions

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $39780 - $53730
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
