About This Job

Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening for a Data Architect for our growing Data Analytics team. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Design the vision and blueprint of the organization's data framework.

  • Develop strategies for data integration, data modeling, and data transformation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple systems.

  • Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from various data sources into the data warehouse or BI platforms.

  • Create and maintain data models that support business reporting and analysis requirements, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

  • Define and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and data security measures within the BI architecture.

  • Provide oversight of all database design, architectures, and implementations, development activities, and database objects.

  • Expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases, and data visualization tools.

  • Senior Principal-level experience with relational and object oriented database design concepts and overall database development.

  • Define, design, and implement use cases surrounding data requirements, data availability, and reporting capabilities to support customers desired outcomes.

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and recommend reporting and analytics process changes and improvements across the organizations systems and procedures.

  • Proven ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions to drive and document the requirements around technical processes and reporting with both technical and business partners.

  • Analyzes business processes and performs needs assessments in an effort to align Business Intelligence technology solutions with business initiatives.

  • Collaborate on cross functional teams to solve business and technology problem sets as the data expert on requirements analysis and design solutions.

  • Familiarity with formal project and change management processes, particularly Agile, Human Centered Design and similar methodologies.

Required degree and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:

  • High School Diploma: 18 years of experience, or

  • BS/BA Degree: 14 years of experience, or

  • MS/MA Degree: 12 years of experience

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment

  • Experience with troubleshooting, proactively identifying issues and driving them to resolution

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of management, and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience

  • Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals

  • A fast learner with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn technologies and understand unique system requirements

  • 15 years of experience as an UI-UX lead designer or similar role

  • UI design portfolio

  • Bachelor s degree in relevant field

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to discuss and explain design options

  • Problem solver and customer-centered

  • Familiar with design and architectural best practices and understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

  • Experience or certifications with standards compliance and information assurance including ITAR, CCA, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, ITIL, CMMI

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $111780 - $189990

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
