Minimum Qualification: · High school diploma or equivalent required. · ARRT registered in Radiography and MRI · Basic Life Support (BLS) received through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Requirements
- Performs magnetic resonance imaging and other various imaging procedures according to applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physician's orders.
- Educates patients regarding procedures and equipment.
- Exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
- Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
- Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
- Assess MRI hazards and maintain a safe MRI environment for patients, families, and peers.
- Assists patients through exams by monitoring them and helping keep them calm.
- Screen all patients before accessing the MRI environment.
- Effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record
- Call will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
- Cleans room after every patient and work area on a routine basis.
