Job Summary and Qualifications
The Quality Manager manages the facility quality and performance improvement (PI) programs, medical staff quality programs, including medical staff peer review and outcomes analysis. Promotes performance improvement, and staff education and development. The Quality Manager supervises quality review staff.
You will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of quality activities within the facility, including medical staff peer review.
You will perform annual quality and PI program evaluation and reporting.
You will develop, revise, and implement quality and PI plan.
You will serve as a quality resource to all departments.
You will maintain and coordinate quality and PI report cards, dashboard, and other reporting mechanisms.
You will serve as member of selected facility and departmental PI committees, teams. Serve as Quality Facilitator/Leader of root cause analysis teams, etc.
You will analyze and report quality and PI indicators to the Quality Management Committee, Administration, and others as indicated.
You will ensure compliance of corporate, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for quality and performance improvement.
You will serve as representative to selected Partnership and other quality committees, initiatives, etc.
You will be responsible for data analysis, collection and outcomes measures.
You will analyze and report data from clinical outcomes systems such as CHOIS, TMF, Core Measures, THCIC, etc. as required or requested.
You will recommend action plans based on clinical data to the Medical Director, Medical Staff, Quality Management Committee, Administration, etc.
You will analyze and report satisfaction data and suggests action plans to administration and the customer service team.
You will provide oversight for Core Measures and other outcome measures as determined by the Medical Staff, Administration, etc.
You will maintain quality and PI software and reporting systems to meet internal and external reporting requirements and surveys.
You will complete administrative duties as needed.
You will provide input in departmental goals, objectives, budget.
You will comply with all hospital policies and procedures, safety requirements, and emergency preparedness requirements.

You will appropriately access secured rooms with medications storage containers in order to perform assigned job function, which does not include management of medications.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree with preference given to Nursing, Quality Management or Healthcare Administration.
Ten years experience in healthcare or five years experience in Quality.
Required: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must: apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire / obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license
