Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a contract Research Associate I to join the team at our Research partner located in Round Lake, IL.

The anticipated wage for this position is between $28 and $30. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Summary:

The Renal Extractables & Leachables (E&L) team applies analytical expertise to sustain life saving products on the market and ensure progression of the diverse product portfolio of the Renal Care business. This position will provide analytical and technical support for E&L and impurities analysis compliance. Specifically, this candidate will assist subject matter experts (SMEs) by performing routine laboratory activities (e.g., solution preparation, instrumental analysis, sample management, laboratory upkeep) with the opportunity for continued growth into new responsibilities as the candidate expands their knowledge and skills. This position requires daily in-person and on-site laboratory work at the Round Lake site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical analyses and sample preparation, including solid-phase extraction (SPE) and liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) in support of E&L screening studies, nitrosamines testing and impurities evaluations to comply with regulatory or internal requirements for Renal care products.

• Perform experiments to assist in method development and method validation, specifically for nitrosamines and E&L analysis, within specified timelines.

• Generate scientific experimental data following written procedures including protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Responsible for sample management: inventory, receipt, handling, and shipping.

• Perform labware cleaning, sample preparation, reagent, and standard preparations supporting various laboratory activities.

• Learn analytical techniques to contribute to the changing needs of impurity and E&L studies.

• Provide support as needed in calibration and maintenance of equipment in the laboratory.

• Document and review laboratory work using an Electronic Laboratory Notebook per good documentation practices (GDP) and general good laboratory practices (GLP).

• Follow Quality Manual, SOPs, and Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) guidelines in day-to-day activities, to ensure proactive compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities are required:

• Background in analytical chemistry and chemical laboratory practices from education and/or previous employment experience is desired.

• Operation of analytical tools/ instruments (weighing balances, pH meters etc.) and wet chemistry sample preparation techniques.

• Should have analytical problem-solving mindset, high learning agility, innovative experimental attitude along with good presentation skills.

• Strong drive to learn new skills and information to facilitate growth of the candidates knowledge and skillset.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Demonstrates an inclusive attitude and an ability to collaborate with team members and cross-functional team members for project deliverables.

• Ability to objectively assess, organize, and clearly communicate information.

• Ability to plan and complete the assigned work to meet project deliverables in a timely manner.

• Provide and accept critical feedback from others in a constructive manner.

Education and/or Experience:

• Educational Qualification: B.S. or M.S. in chemistry or related field.

• Analytical or organic chemistry preferred.

• Professional Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
