Job Description

About the role:

You will provide business and technical leadership for major site projects, including geographic expansions, process improvements, supplier change notices, capacity expansions and facility upgrades. You will be accountable for overall project performance relating to assigned Projects including, planning, integration, and execution of project activities, being liaison for senior management, Research & Development (R&D) and other partners, managing project resources and overseeing financial achievement. You will provide input to the project prioritization process and participate in other important strategic portfolio processes to ensure funding for the goals. Project managers create project launch date commitments and cash flow forecasts based on our requirements and partner expectations.

How you will contribute:

• Provides clear direction on project requirements to meet expectations of customers and partners.

• Lead the team in defining project strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensure the team meets all goals.

• Communicate project status updates to all levels of management.

• Manage team deliverables required for successful project completion.

• Set the project strategy, schedules, resource agreement and financial analysis.

• Approve team deliverables for project completion.

• Provide Project Management technical expertise in all phases of project execution.

• Anticipate and resolve conflict situations in a win-win outcome.

• Guide use of Takeda's Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Methodology throughout Projects.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement of Project Management Office (PMO) business processes.

• Must be well versed in Project Management tools and must have knowledge of related disciplines.

• Must have knowledge of such principles as GMPs, FDA guidelines and purchasing practices.

• Design and implement projects outside area of expertise.

• Must demonstrate strategic leadership, financial experience, and proficient supervisory skills.

• Must be proficient in written and oral English.

What you bring to Takeda:

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other related technical field and 3+ years of related experience.

• Experience in FDA regulated environment.

• Leadership Experience.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:

• In general, your work will be a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions of the facility.

• Ability to walk 1-3 miles.

• General office environment.

• Inside working conditions.

• May work around moving equipment and machinery.

• May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

• Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

• May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.

• May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

• Will work non-traditional work hours or work extended hours to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends and holidays.

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary

For Location:

USA - IL - Round Lake - Drug Delivery

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$84,000.00 - $132,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
